Tahiti

The long awaited day has arrived. I undertake an adventure that every surfer wants to live at least once in life. This time I travel to Tahiti, and more specifically to Teahupo’o. This trip represents the realization of a childhood dream, as I still remember my first years of surfing when I watched in magazines the pros surfing in these crystal clear waters and making tubes that once seemed impossible… Today I’m the one who prepares the cover, gives a last review to the wave forecast and I throw myself into the unknown, into the adventure and the search for that perfect wave. From here on out I’m taking you on board with me on this journey, let’s go for it!

While carrying out one of my dreams, surfing in the crystal clear waters of Teahupo’o (Taihti), which document in my previous episode, the EP.10 of Ocean Journals (TEAHUPO’O, THE WAVE FROM INSIDE) I had the great opportunity among swells to experience one of the best experiences of my life when it comes to travel.

This episode of Ocean Journals, as it is well titled, “beyond the wave” goes beyond surfing tubes in Teahupo’o, and from the hand of my great friend @Ariihoe Tefaafana I know the island from another perspective. Ariihoe Tefaafana is a local in the area that I have known for many years, a “charger” as surfers who surf from large waves and compete at a great level achieving good results, in addition to having competed on occasion.

He has welcomed me on the island and has served as a host, showing me every corner as if it were one more local, I have lived a 100% local experience, visiting extraordinary and paradisiacal places, hidden corners, fishing on the high seas, and above all enjoying his company surfing, among many other things. I can only tell you that it takes me to Moorea, one of the 118 islands that make up French Polynesia, the rest you will find out for yourself by watching the full chapter.
